An effort to document my 2,700 mile journey from Boca Raton, Florida to Los Angeles, California.
An epic drive.
An epic gamble.
An epic adventure.

I’ve got plans to go out tonight, but I got a random and much appreciated invite to go to the Magic Castle Club for dinner with some friends from my office back in Ft. Lauderdale.

The Magic Castle is a block from my apartment in Hollywood, and I’ve been curious about it since I got here. Why? Because it’s nearby…and looks like a castle.

My knee-jerk response was “no” because I was going to the gym, had half-assed and ordinary dinner plans, and I knew I’d have to cut dinner short to keep my bar plans for later tonight.

But the YES MAN peptalk struck me again like a pillowcase stuffed with Academy Awards, and I made some phone calls, adapted, and made it work. Not rocket science but more proactive in this regard than I’m accustomed to being.

So I’m outside the Club about to enjoy another new and almost-turned-down experience.

It’s all about the YES…and The U.
